Jupiler N.A.

De naam Jupiler is een verwijzing naar het dorpje Jupille. Een dorpje vlakbij Luik waar in 1853 de brouwerij Piedboeuf ontstond. De brouwerij lanceert in 1966 de pils “Jupiler 5”. Deze pils verovert snel zijn plaats op de Belgische biermarkt. Het nummer 5 was een verwijzing naar het alcoholpercentage en het aantal ingrediënten. Later verdween het uit de naam.Jupiler is het populairste bier in België. De zachte smaak en het dorstlessende karakter van deze pils dragen daar zeker toe bij.
